Getting there and around

Flying

Fly into AMM (Queen Alia International Airport). For guests traveling from the U.S., we recommend the direct flight from IAD (Dulles International Airport) on Royal Jordanian, which offers a convenient nonstop option to Amman.

For airport transfers, we recommend using the official airport taxis, which are reliable and typically cost $30–40 USD to most locations in Amman. Uber is available in the city/Careem (local app), but airport pickups can sometimes be restricted, so taxis are the easiest option upon arrival.

Getting around

Uber/Careem is the easiest and most affordable way to get around and is widely used throughout the city. Careem is more widely used and available.

Walking is possible in some neighborhoods, but Amman is not very pedestrian-friendly overall, with heavy traffic and limited sidewalks in many areas, so please plan accordingly.

Public transportation does exist, but it can be confusing and difficult to navigate, especially for visitors, so we generally recommend avoiding it.
