For our family and friends from out of town, we want you to enjoy the city as locals. Here are some of our favorite spots to eat and explore.

How to practically plan for your trip:

Jordan Pass: Highly recommended; covers visa fees (if eligible) and entry to Petra, Jerash, Wadi Rum, and other sites.

What the Jordan Pass Is:

  • The Jordan Pass is a prepaid sightseeing ticket that gives holders entry to over 40 tourist attractions across Jordan — including Petra, Wadi Rum, Jerash, the Amman Citadel, and many museums and historic sites.

  • If purchased before arriving in Jordan, the pass also waives the tourist visa fee (about 40 JOD), as long as visitors stay at least two nights (three days).

Jordan Pass Packages & Costs:

  • There are three pass options, around 70-80 JOD, even the basic pass usually costs less than buying separate Petra tickets + a visa fee (Petra entry ~50 JOD + visa ~40 JOD). So most visitors save money and hassle with the pass.

  • You must buy the Jordan Pass online before traveling, it’s not available for purchase at the airport.

  • After buying, guests will receive a digital pass with QR code by email.

  • Tip: Print a few copies and also save it on your phone, some places may stamp or scan the paper version.

  • What’s included?

    • Petra (1–3 days depending on pass)

    • Wadi Rum Desert

    • Jerash Roman City

    • Amman Citadel & Roman Theatre

    • Madaba Archaeological Park

    • Castles (Karak, Shobak, Azraq, etc.)
